Monek has completed final testing of its native Xero integration ahead of public launch in early 2026. The integration has been validated against Xero's UK accounting flows by a panel of pilot merchants across retail, hospitality, and professional services.
Pilot results
Across the six-week pilot, merchants reported an average reduction of 4.2 hours per month in time spent on card-takings reconciliation. The integration was particularly impactful for businesses operating multiple Monek merchant IDs, where the prior manual workflow required matching individual settlement batches by date and amount.
What the integration does
- Writes each captured transaction to Xero as a matched bank-feed entry, including the gross amount, the processing fee, the VAT element, and the net settlement.
- Supports refunds and chargebacks, posted against the original sale rather than as a separate negative line.
- Maps each Monek merchant ID to a Xero organisation or tracking category, so multi-site businesses keep a clean ledger.
Marketplace approval
The integration is currently awaiting official approval on the Xero App Marketplace. Existing Monek customers can enable it ahead of marketplace approval by request — contact your account manager or our sales team.
